So often during the Lenten season, we are concerned with giving something up-chocolate, sweets. It's all good. However, what does it do for your spiritual journey in the long run? From my personal experience-not a whole lot.

This year, why not pick up something-compassion, hope, joy, and commitment- keep it up, and pass it on way past lent!

BTW, in order to add on these things, you do have to make room by giving up other things-judgment, despair...etc.

This is my approach this Lent season. But as we all know, we can do nothing alone. Won't you join me so that we strengthen each other?
