It's who you know. This always rang negative to me. Today –revelation!!! It's not about people and their perceived power and power plays. It IS about relationships! We are, by nature, social creatures. We want to love and be loved and are apt to do some ridiculous things to gain it. Even after we get burned and face a warped reality we exist in the double-bind of wanting to be wanted although we don't want to want to be wanted. We need to know and be known. Even we introverts. Perhaps Maslow's hierarchy needs revision.

I received "The Letter" today! I have been accepted into the chaplaincy residency program for Emory HealthCare Center in Atlanta, GA. ATL HERE I COME!!!
As excited as I am, I’m also a little scared. I’m leaving it all behind…training wheels come off now. Wow, it only took me to 33 to grow up! Asa is angry, he does not want to move. Poor baby…he’s going anyway!

Having one of those days...
Sick and tired of being sick and tired. I've been second guessing quitting my job to go to seminary even though this is my last semester. I don't know, the whole ministry thing looks ridiculous to me today.
But in my heart of hearts I guess I know...

Without love it ain't much
OK, So I'm showing my age. It's all good. I'm 33, FOOTLOOSE and fancy (yet not fat) free. One kid - 10 yr old son. Marriage – “never had it, never will” HA!HA!HA! I kinda dig pop culture - incorporate it into many of my sermons. That's right kiddies -sista is a PREACHER! I love it most days - except when I get the confused puppy dogs looks from the congregation. But it is ALL GOOD!
I am finishing up my Masters in Divinity this year, will be interning in Atlanta (PLEASE GOD) next year. I'm a Sag who likes long walks on the beach, sushi, and diet Cheerwine (OK scratch the beach and insert mountains...as long as it is not tooooo hot...maybe we should consider snow....).
I don't get out a lot, but I do bathe regularly. I can embarrass my son in 60 seconds or less (ALL RIGHT!), and my 3 little sisters think I'm a dork. My “goodest” friend is in the land of milk and honey right now, while I sit in the land of fat and broke. But hey, God still loves me....
